As a Vocational Instructor 4, you would teach trades and skills to incarcerated individuals of institutions/facilities under general supervision. Your duties would include the preparation of lesson plans, course outlines, trade analyses, and may include shop layout planning, the establishment of shop safety programs, and the maintenance of tools and equipment. You would be expected to manage a classroom environment appropriately. You would also be responsible for meeting each learner's individual needs and evaluating their progress as part of your record keeping duties. You may need to utilize technology as part of your instruction to enhance the educational setting.

Salary Range:
From $57984 to $73813 Annually
Minimum Qualification
The candidate must have professional certification as a teacher of trade subjects in the appropriate specialty (electrical trades) as issued by the New York State Department of Education.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
