Practices the profession of dentistry consistent with the scope of practice as conveyed in state statue. Plans, organizes and directs the work of a professional and paraprofessional dental staff as described by agency policy and procedures. Schedules work and individual treatment. Consults subordinates on problem cases involving acute dental conditions, Coordinated dental services with other clinical specialties. Reviews, monitors and evaluates staff and work products; provides training. Prepares the budget for dental program. Orders and maintains dental equipment and supplies. Prepares written reports of dental services rendered. Ensures fully documented records of all dental procedures preformed are maintained. Performs the full range of supervisory duties.

Promotion - Possession of a license and current registration to practice dentistry in New York State and one year of service as a Dentist 1. Open Competitive - Possession of a license and current registration to practice dentistry in New York State and three yours of full-time post licensure dentistry experience, one year of which must be in a supervisory capacity in a dental heal care setting.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
